Andrea Yates,

Texas mother, was convicted in March of capital murder in the 2001 deaths of three of her five children, Noah, 7, John, 5, and Mary, 6 months. (She was not on trial for the deaths of Luke, 3, and Paul, 2). Yates reportedly suffered from postpartum depression. She was convicted of methodically drowning the children in the family's bathtub, and sentenced to life in prison.
