the first former NFL player to reach the age of 100; a member of the undefeated Harvard team that defeated Oregon in the 1920 Rose Bowl, Horween joined the NFL in its second year of existence; played in the backfield for the Chicago Cardinals under the name of McMahon for his mother who didn't think football was respectable; after retiring from football he returned to Harvard for a law degree and was a successful businessman; of natural causes
