The superheroine's autobiography is a romantic, time-traveling whirlwind through her girlhood in ancient Rome, exile in Antioch and goddess worship in Isis. A toothy encounter with the Vampire Marius begins a tumultuous two-century love affair. There's plenty of bloodlust, romance and mystery to leave Rice fans thirsting for more — and they will get more: Pandora is the first of a projected series.
