There's nothing deep about Deep Rising: a slimy monster attacks a luxury liner. One fearless, tank-topped female passenger (Janssen) and a group of modern-day pirates, who had come aboard to rob the ship, try to survive by mounting a machine-gun attack on the tentacled sea creature. But no amount of machine-gun fire or humorous quips from hapless passengers can save this sinker.
