The world turns upside down and inside out when small-town high school English teacher Howard Brackett (Kline) is suddenly “outed” by a former student, actor Cameron Drake (Dillon), in front of millions during his Oscar acceptance speech. Although Howard's wedding to fellow schoolteacher Emily (Cusak) is only days away, a media frenzy ensues, with Peter Malloy (Selleck), a gay tabloid television reporter, at the head of the pack. Is he, or isn't he? The search to find the answer engages the whole town of Greenleaf, Indiana, including Howard himself. This sets in motion a series of amusing, and sometimes hilarious, events playing off the usual gay stereotypes. There's no groundbreaking material here, but Kline, with the help of an excellent supporting cast, makes this a fun watch.
