For a long time, we thought Pulp Fiction was a good thing. But that is slowly changing with all these wannabes appearing in theaters. Feeling Minnesota reaches for the Tarantino-esque dialogue and hip attitude and misses both, leaving the movie stranded between film noir and comedy. Freddie (Diaz) meets the man of her dreams at her wedding, and the lucky man is her husband, Sam's (D'Onofrio) ex-con brother, Jjaks (Reeves). Forced by the mob to marry Sam, Freddie just wants out and sees the opportunity in Jjaks. They escape, and Freddie convinces Jjaks to go back to steal money Sam had extorted from his boss, Red (Lindo). The plot gets progressively more complicated and less interesting.
