Jay Hebert

PGA Champion in 1960, played on two Ryder Cup teams and captained another; his PGA Championship came three years after his brother Lionel won the event, making them the only brothers to win that tournament; a member of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, Hebert led the LSU Tigers to the 1947 NCAA College Golf Championships; a captain in the Marine Corps, he won a purple heart in World War II; was a club professional for eight years before he turned pro; of a heart condition
