Severe Weather in South Kills Six

On Jan. 2, 2017, severe weather in the southern part of the country spawns tornadoes that kill six. According to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), there are at least 31 twisters that hit Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia, wreaking major destruction. This one-day total is more than the nationwide total for the whole month of Jan. 2016.
