Galashiels

Galashiels gălˌəshēlzˈ [key], town, Scottish Borders, SE Scotland, on the Gala Water. Famous for its tweeds and woolens, Galashiels is the site of the Scottish Borders campus of Heriot-Watt Univ. There is also a tanning industry.
