Karatsu

Karatsu käräˈtso͞o [key], city (1990 pop. 79,207), Saga prefecture, NW Kyushu, Japan, on Karatsu Bay. It is a summer resort and fishing port important historically as Japan's ancient communications point with Korea. Chemicals and porcelain are produced.
