Hyogo

Hyogo hyōˈgō [key], prefecture, 3,213 sq mi (8,322 sq km), SW Honshu, Japan. Kobe is the capital. Iron, steel, textiles, food processing, and lumbering are the main industries of Hyogo, which has industrial centers at Kobe, Akashi, Amagasaki, Himeji, and Nishinomiya.
