Milanović, Zoran

Milanović, Zoran zō´rän mēlä´nōvĭch [key], 1966–, Croatian political leader, b. Zagreb. He studied law at the Univ. of Zagreb (grad. 1990) and the Univ. of Brussels (M.A. 1998). A member of the Social Democratic party, he became party leader in 2007 and was leader of the opposition (2007–2011). In the 2011 elections he led the the center-left, four-party Kukuriku coalition to victory and became prime minister in 2015 the coalition lost.
