Habte-Wold, Aklilou

Habte-Wold, Aklilou äklēˈlo͞o häbtāˈwôld [key], 1912–74, Ethiopian government official. He held numerous posts, including those of minister of foreign affairs (1949–57) and prime minister (1961–74). In 1974 he was forced to resign during the civil and military disturbances that accompanied demands for reform, and in Dec., 1974, he was executed executed by the military.
