Froment, Nicolas

Froment, Nicolas n?kl frmN [key], fl. 2d half of 15th cent., French painter of the Provenal school. While in the service of Ren of Anjou at Avignon, he painted The Resurrection of Lazarus (Uffizi) and the triptych The Burning Bush (cathedral, Aix). He is credited also with the diptych of Ren and his wife, Jeanne Laval (Louvre).
