Donatus

Donatus (Aelius Donatus) ē´lēəs dōnät´əs [key], fl. 353, Roman grammarian teacher of St. Jerome. His only well-known work, the Ars grammatica [elements of grammar], was throughout the Middle Ages the standard elementary Latin grammar.
