Spanish Africa

Spanish Africa, historical name for the Spanish possessions in Africa— Ceuta and Melilla (enclaves in Morocco), the Canary Islands , and Western Sahara . Spain also formerly held Ifni (now part of Morocco) and Equatorial Guinea .
