Dewdney, Anna

Dewdney, Anna, 1965–2016, American children's book author and illustrator, b. Englewood Cliffs, N.J., as Anna Elizabeth Luhrmann, B.A. Wellesley, 1987. After illustrating adult and children's books for other authors, she wrote and illustrated the popular rhyming picture book Llama Llama Red Pajama (2005), about a baby llama who can't get to sleep. This was followed by many more llama books, as well as books about other animals, all with gentle life lessons for young children.
