Brewer's: Clumsy

(Norwegian, klump, a lump, Swedish, klummsen, benumbed; Icelandic, klumsa). Piers Plowman has “thou klompsist for cold,” and Wiclif has “Our hondis ben aclumpsid”. Halliwell gives us clumpish = awkward, and clump = lazy.
