Major Winter Storms Threaten US South

Winter Storms

On December 8, it was predicted that a winter storm will bring ice, snow, and flash flooding to multiple southern states, The warning stretches from New Mexico to North Carolina and affects 20 million people. (CNN)

Winter Storms

On December 10, a massive snowstorm hit the southern part of the US, killing at least one person already. Over 300,000 people are without electricity, as North Carolina has issued a state of emergency and thousands of flights have been cancelled. (BBC)

Tsunami Strikes Indonesia

On December 22, an unpredicted tsunami struck various parts of Indonesia, killing over 200 people and injuring hundreds of more. Over 500 houses were destroyed, and many public buildings were also affected. (CNN)
