An engaging, quirky directorial debut from Taylor. Nick (Hunt), a terminally ill drug addict, foils Terry's (Arquette) suicide attempt when he convinces the anguished man that pills are the way to go, rather than jumping from a bridge. When the drugs Nick gives Terry (in exchange for Terry's watch) prove ineffective, the pair begin an oddball friendship based on Nick's financial needs and Terry's hunger for companionship.
