He gained fame in the mid-1980s as the lead singer of the hard-rock band Bon Jovi, whose albums Slippery When Wet and New Jersey became multi-platinum sellers. He is also noted for composing the score and theme song (“Blaze of Glory”) for the movie Young Guns II (1990), which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Song. He released a solo album called Blaze Of Glory (1990), which was inspired by the movie, but returned to his group gig with Keep The Faith (1992). He has also acted in several movies, including Moonlight and Valentino (1995) and Pay It Forward (2000).
