Dar Williams is a graduate of Wesleyan University and a star of the East Coast folk music scene, famed for her evocative tunes and frequent tours. She appeared in Sarah McLachlan's Lilith Fair and joined fellow singers Richard Shindell and Lucy Kaplansky in the 1999 collaboration Cry Cry Cry. Her albums include The Honesty Room (1994), Mortal City (1996), The Green World (2000) (which includes her popular tune "Spring Street") and My Better Self (2005).
