electrifying Houston Comets point guard whose firey determination led the team to the WNBA's first two league championship titles in 1997 and 1998; joined the Comets as an un-drafted developmental player after a tryout for coach Van Chancellor; averaged 7.2 points, 4 assists and 2.64 steals a game over two WNBA seasons; defensive player of the year runner up in 1998; played four college seasons with the Ragin' Cajuns at Southwest Louisiana; led the nation in scoring her senior year; posted six of USL's top seven scoring performances, including a 58-point game against SE Louisiana (2nd best in NCAA history); held 26 school records including career points, assists and steals at the time of her death; played for teams in Germany, Israel, France and Sweden (1990-97); U.S. national team member in 1989-90. Died of complications from lung cancer.
