Hey, I need to know the qualifications to become a governor.
The Answer:
The qualifications for governor vary from state to state as specified in each state's constitution. In general most states require that a candidate hold U.S. citizenship, be of a certain age, and be a resident or registered voter of the state for a certain number of years prior to the election.
Here are a few examples:

| Georgia(State Constitution, Article 5, Section 1): | U.S. citizen for 5 years; resident of state for the 6 years preceding the election; at least 30 years old. |
| Indiana(State Constitution, Article 5, Section 7): | U.S. citizen for 5 years; resident of Indiana for the 5 years preceding the election; at least 30 years old. |
| Maine(State Constitution, Article 5, Section 4): | U.S. citizen for at least 15 years; resident of Maine for 5 years; at least 30 years old. |
| Missouri(State Constitution, Article 4, Section 3): | U.S. citizen for 15 years; resident of Missouri for the 10 years preceding the election; at least 30 years old. |
