Making the Band

A hybrid of The Real World, The Monkees, and Behind the Music, Making the Band is the verite series in which a boy band is actually manufactured for mass consumption. Throughout the series, music producer Louis J. Pearlman, who has worked with 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys, will select five young men to make up O-Town, yet another harmony-singing band. The show follows the contenders as they audition and bare their souls. Believe it or not, it's quite fascinating the witness the process of assembling a potential chart-topping band.
