Ten Best Metropolitan Areas in the United
States
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, can boast that it’s the home to the
first baseball stadium built in the United States—Forbes Field,
constructed in 1909—and the Steelers, who have won a record five
Super Bowls. In April 2007, the city earned another claim to fame when it
was ranked the #1 metropolitan area in the country by the latest Places
Rated Almanac.
The areas were ranked by their ambience (the cultural offerings in the
city), housing, economy, transportation, education, health care, crime,
recreation, and climate. Here’s a look at the areas that made the
top ten.
