The following table shows the number of transplants per year in the United States from 1988 to the present, according to types of organs including heart, liver, lung, pancreas, kidney, and intestine.

NOTE: Kidney-pancreas transplants are counted apart from kidney transplants and pancreas transplants and do not show up in the totals for the individual organs. Double kidney, double lung, and heart-lung transplants are each counted as one transplant. All other multi-organ transplants are included in the total for each individual organ.
