A short heading for the feed

Uses channel <link> for link target

example: Infoplease - Today's Birthday

channel <description> -

A descriptive subtitle for the feed

example: Famous Birthdays from the Editors of Infoplease

item <title> -

Combines the channel name with a short summary of that days content

Uses item <link> for link target

example: Jan 2: Isaac Asimov

item <description> -

Has a longer summary of the content

Not all items have descriptions

example: 1920—1992, American author, scientist.
