As Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada, an oil town home to 88,000 residents burns, those trying to flee find themselves stranded, with evacuation routes to the north closed. Four days after the initial outbreak, officials say they have completed the transport of thousands of evacuees and reached a turning point in fighting the massive wildfire, hoping to get a "death grip" on the blaze amid cooler temperatures.
