• The Economy Ends on a Strong Note for 2015 (Jan. 8): According to the Labor Department, the U.S. economy adds 292,000 jobs in December. Numbers for October and November are revised up, increasing the three month average to 284,000. The unemployment rate also remains a steady 5.0% for a third consecutive month.
