Description: In turn of the century Russia, a wealthy banker, unhappy in his joyless marriage, spots a beautiful woman walking a dog at a resort, and instantly falls in love with her. She returns the feeling, but she too is married. Imprisoned by their own lives, the lovers make several attempts to relive their passion, but ultimately must settle for the pain of an unrequited love.
