Description: A film about the South of the United States, a journey undertaken after the murder of James Byrd Jr by three white men. This is not an analysis of this killing, or of the history of lynchings, but rather a consideration of how this death has been inscribed on the countryside: how silences can suddenly seem menacing, how nature can evoke death, blood and history, how the South of the present can evoke the South of the past.
