Description: In 1606 an aristocratic charity organization in Naples commissioned Caravaggio to create a painting whose themes were to be charity, reconciliation, life, and death. Four centuries later, a documentarian explores the still-contrasting worlds of the city today, where aristocratic enclaves exist next to streets teeming with crowded tenements and poverty, and creates a penetrating portrait.
