Running time:74 minutes

Description: Unfortunately, there is no better place in the world to kill a young woman than in Ciudad Juarez. In the past ten years, hundreds of women have disappeared or been found murdered in this Mexican border town. Most of these women, usually thin, long-haired and attractive, were employed at one of the maquiladoras--assembly plants which choke the Mexico/U.S. border. Only a few of these cases, some 200 since 1994, have been solved. Director Lourdes Portillo travels to Juarez to track down the ghosts and listen to the mystery which surrounds them.
