Description: After serving four years in prison for drug possession, Grip makes a $100 bet with a fellow inmate that, once paroled, he won't be back. Upon his release, Grip struggles to make an honest living in society, but -- with the urging of his slyly elusive brother Maurice -- he eventually returns to the world of drugs and thugs he left behind. Other characters include: Grip's ex-girlfriend Gwen, who has lost all hope that Grip will ever honestly provide for her and their daughter; Deon, Gwen's ex-drug-dealing brother, now turned bible toting preacher; hard-boiled Detective Reed and his partner Detective Carlson, who will stop at nothing to arrest and convict Maurice; Tony, Maurice's smooth talking right-hand man; and Mike and his little brother Lil' Mike, Maurice's two psychotic henchmen, who have ambitions of going into business for themselves.
