Gary Hall, Jr.

Born: September 26, 1974
American Swimmer

Won the 50m free event in the 2004 Athens Olympics. At the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Hall won the 50m free and the 4x100m medley relay, earned silver in the 4x100m free relay, and a bronze in the 100m free. In the 1996 Atlanta Games, Hall won the 4x100m free relay and the 4x100m medley relay, and received the silver in the 50 and the 100m free. Flamboyant and outspoken, Hall competes at the world championship level despite having type I diabetes. Hall's father, Gary Hall, Sr., was also a swimmer who competed in three Olympics, 1968, 1972, and 1976.
