Winner Olimpia of Paraguay was to play UEFA Champions League winner Bayer Leverkusen in the 2002 Europe/South America Cup in Yokohama, Japan in December. Final Four: America (Mexico), Gremio (Brazil), Olimpia (Paraguay) and Sao Caetano (Brazil)
