Rosters

The 2001 U.S. Team (the 2001 event was postponed one year due to safety concerns after the September attacks on America) players were chosen on the basis of points awarded for wins and top-10 finishes at official PGA events from Jan. 9, 2000 through Aug. 19, 2001. The top 10 finishers on the points list automatically qualified for the 12-member team, and U.S. Captain Curtis Strange selected the final two players.

The 2001 European Team players were chosen on the basis of points awarded from September 2000 to September 2001. Each player received one point for each euro won during this period in Ryder Cup ranking events.
