1st-round pick of L.A. Rams in 1962; voted NFL MVP in 1969 after throwing 24 touchdown passes and just 7 interceptions; threw for 3,219 yards in 1973 as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles; retired in 1977 with 29,444 yards and 201 touchdowns.
