Lennox Lewis

Born: Sept. 2, 1965
British boxer

won 1988 Olympic super heavyweight gold medal for Canada; was awarded WBC heavyweight belt when Riddick Bowe tossed it in a London trash can in 1993; lost title in a 2nd round TKO loss to Oliver McCall; won rematch 3 years later when McCall suffered emotional breakdown in the ring; unified titles in his rematch with Evander Holyfield in Nov. 1999; lost belts in upset loss to Hasim Rahman in South Africa in April 2001 but regained them 7 months later; recorded 8th-round KO of Mike Tyson in June 2002.
