FIFA Confederations Cup

Contested by the continental champions of Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania and South America. Note that Germany replaced France as the European representative due to scheduling conflicts with the French national team after the tournament was rescheduled twice. Played in Mexico July 24-Aug. 4, 1999.

First Round

Round Robin; each team plays the other teams in its group once. Note that three points are awarded for a win and one for a tie. (*) indicates team advanced to semifinals.
