Underclassmen in NBA Draft
Sixteen Division I players (7 juniors, 8 sophomores and 1 freshman), 2 high school seniors, 4 players from overseas, 3 junior college players, 1 Division II junior and 1 Division II sophomore forfeited the remainder of their college eligibility and declared for the 1999 NBA Draft which took place at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. on June 23.
Players are listed in alphabetical order; first round selections in bold type, high school players in italics.
Note: Harold Arceneaux (Weber St.), Edwin Daniels (UNLV), Giorgos Diamantopolous (Greece), Antonis Fotsis (Greece), DeeAndre Hullett (College of the Sequoias), Guilherme Joanoni (Brazil), Lamont Long (New Mexico), Jamaal Magloire (Kentucky), Olumide Oyedeji (Nigeria), Igor Rakocevic (Yugoslavia), Tyron Triplett (Tallahassee CC) and Kostas Tsartsaris (Greece) declared for the draft and then withdrew their names before the June 23 deadline.
