tremendous hitter and stupendous troublemaker; in strike-shortened 1995 season, became first player in major league history to hit 50 homers and 50 doubles in a season; five-time All-Star; three-time AL RBI leader; was fined $50,000 for a profanity-laced tirade aimed at NBC's Hannah Storm during 1995 World Series; in 1996, was suspended for a brutal hit on Brewers' Fernando Vina; suspended 10 games in 1994 for using a corked bat.
