1997 Early Rounds

Sweden plays host to the 1997 Davis Cup final from Nov. 28-30. Jonas Bjorkman leads the Swedes to their 11th Cup final against the United States and the world's best player, Pete Sampras. The United States has won the Cup a record 31 times since play began in 1900. Sweden, last year's runner-up, has won five times.
