led Notre Dame to national title in 1977; led San Francisco to 4 Super Bowl titles in 1980s; only 3-time Super Bowl MVP; 2-time NFL MVP (1989-90); led NFL in passing 5 times; traded to Kansas City in 1993; ranks 2nd all-time in passing efficiency (92.3), 7th in TD passes (273) and 6th in yards passing (40,551); inducted into Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.
