set MLB single-season HR record in 2001 with 73 and became all-time homerun leader in 2007; 6-time NL MVP, 2 with Pittsburgh (1990,92) and 4 with San Francisco (1993,2001-03); one of only 3 men with 40 HRs and 40 SBs in same season (1996); became the 3rd player to reach 700 career HRs in Sept. 2004; holds major league record for single season (2004) and career walks; hit .370 in 2002 at age 38; son of Bobby.
