U2The Best of 1980–1990 Despite a questionable marketing move in which a second CD's worth of B-sides were available for a limited time, Bono and the boys have issued the first of what is being called a Greatest Hits trilogy. Without the bonus CD, however, most serious fans won't need or want this collection. The Irish quartet is most brilliant on the emotionally evocative “Pride,” “Bad” and “Desire.” More interestingly, the B-sides disc features outtakes and what may be Bono's greatest vocal performance, “Spanish Eyes.” Sans bonus CD, pass on this one.
