This ex-fashion model rose to movie stardom with Goodbye Columbus (1969) and the internationally successful Love Story (1970), for which she earned an Oscar nomination. Since then she has appeared in films only rarely, including The Getaway (1972, opposite future husband Steve McQueen) and Just Tell Me What You Want (1980). Her TV credits include the miniseries The Winds of War (1983).
