Dame Judi Dench actress Born: 12/9/1934 Birthplace: York, England
Acclaimed British stage and screen actress who was awarded the Order of the British Empire and was made a Dame of the British Empire. In 1996, she became the first performer to win two Olivier Awards, the equivalent of a Tony Award, for two different performances. She won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in Shakespeare in Love (1998). Her films include A Room With a View (1986), Henry V (1989), and GoldenEye (1995). She earned an Oscar nomination for her roles in Mrs. Brown (1997) and Chocolat (2000).
