Grammy Award-winning pop-funk singer whose soft, sexy singing often takes a back-seat to her athletic, energetic dancing and artistic videos. Her recordings include Control (1986), Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 (1989) and janet (1993). In 1996, she became the country's highest paid female recording artist. In 2000, Jackson appeared on film with multiple versions of Eddie Murphy in Nutty Professor II: The Klumps. Her brother is Michael Jackson. Her “wardrobe malfunction” with Justin Timberlake in the 2004 Super Bowl halftime provoked controversy and an FCC inquiry.
